- MSSQL
A healthcare platform connecting caregivers with individuals and families seeking assistance, spanning a public site, a partner portal and the services behind them.
- Challenge
The existing Next.js rendering setup introduced overhead that made consistently fast page loads difficult to reach.
- Solution
I contributed to the migration to a custom React and Express server-side rendering architecture, keeping server rendering, client behaviour and caching as clearly separated responsibilities. Alongside it I developed .NET services and GraphQL APIs, React and Next.js features, Storyblok CMS integrations, Azure services and MSSQL data flows.
- Result
Page load times dropped by more than 50%, improving further with caching. Over the engagement I became the go-to engineer for backend topics: database behaviour, integrations and root-cause analysis of complex production issues.
